Using the tools
The site provides creative suggestions for fiction, games, tabletop campaigns, and worldbuilding. Names, interpretations, titles, and stories are invented. They are not linguistic, historical, legal, or cultural authority. The generator runs locally in your browser and may produce awkward, similar, or unintended combinations. Review results before sharing them.
Permission to use generated outputs
To the extent Dawn Harbor holds rights in a generated output, we grant you a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to use, adapt, reproduce, publish, and commercially exploit that output as part of your own creative work. Attribution is appreciated but not required. This permission does not transfer ownership of the website’s software, branding, full editorial collection, or third-party material.
We do not claim ownership of your independently authored additions. Outputs may not be protectable by copyright in some jurisdictions, and identical or similar names may be generated for other visitors or exist already. We make no promise of exclusivity, registrability, trademark availability, or noninfringement. Conduct appropriate checks before using a result as a brand, product, public username, title, or commercial asset.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to facilitate illegal activity, targeted harassment, deception, impersonation, hate, exploitation of children, or infringement of another person’s rights. Do not attempt to compromise the site, overwhelm infrastructure, evade access controls, or present Dawn Harbor as endorsing your project. Reasonable personal research is welcome; republishing the whole site or harvesting its editorial collection for a competing public service requires separate permission.
Availability and local data
We may correct, revise, add, or retire content and functionality. Free access does not create a guaranteed uptime commitment. Favorites depend on browser storage and can be lost when site data is cleared or a browser changes. Export important work. We do not provide an account, a cloud backup, or guaranteed recovery.
Feedback and corrections
When you send a suggestion, you permit us to use the suggestion to improve the site without an obligation to compensate you. This does not give us permission to publish private correspondence or personal details. If you believe content infringes your rights, provide the relevant URL, a description of the protected work, evidence of your authority to report it, and contact information. We will assess the report and take appropriate action.
External services and advertising
Links, fonts, hosting, and email services are subject to the practices of their providers. Any future advertising must be labeled and must not be presented as a naming result or a necessary step in using a tool. We do not guarantee endorsement, safety, or availability of an external website merely because it is linked.
Disclaimers and responsibility
The tools are provided as available, without warranties to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and securing any rights your use requires. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Dawn Harbor is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from reliance on a generated name, an unavailable page, or lost local storage. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, overrides mandatory consumer protections, or removes a legal remedy that applies to you.
Disputes and changes
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive statutory rights. Governing law and jurisdiction are determined subject to applicable mandatory rules, including consumer protections where relevant. Changes are dated on this page. Continued use after a change applies to future use; material changes will receive appropriate notice.
